some sketches I've posted over on Instagram.  A lot of these were done using brushes from Kyle Webster's Mega Pack

well hello again

I've been seriously contemplating deleting this blog, as I have been neglecting it.  But I've decided to keep it around, mostly because I can't see a downside to maintaining it (other than time spent).  I've been posting more on my Instagram and Tumblr in recent months, which I prefer now to blogging.  That being said, I'm going to be doing better at updating this blog with current work, but I'm not going to be posting everything that I'm posting to my other social media platforms.  Please feel free to follow along there, but I promise to post occasionally on here too!

An exercise from work, trying out a few Kyle Webster brushes from his megapack.  Inspired from this picture:  http://www.calstreets.com/site/images/warren%20bolster%20gallery/images/w.bolster_page_45_image_0001.jpg

Environment Final

Hopefully the colors aren't messed up too badly on blogger, but this is my final from last semester's digital painting class taught by Sam Nielson.  This was the environment to go along with the character I painted up for my midterm.  I feel like I could keep noodling out the details on this... but I think I've got it to a place where I'm okay with calling it done.

and just for fun, I put together a gif of all the wip images that I remembered to save as I was working.

This started out as an exercise for work, but I've been working on it off and on the last few months.  It's been good to have something like this to work on whenever I've needed a break.

Also, I've made an account on Instagram to share my art, so follow along there if you like!  I'll try to post more often to that with sketches and wip images.
